The two stage cleaning cycle of the Honeywell HFD-120-Q Tower HEPAQuiet Air Purifier begins with a washable pre-filter. This pre-filter will never need to be replaced by the consumer. Honeywell HFD-120-Q Review & Performance

Reviewers of the Honeywell HFD-120-Q Tower HEPAQuiet Air Purifier seemed to be people searching for an air purifying unit that has a compact size that is hard to find in powerful air purifying machines and a filtering efficiency that is hard to find in compact and smaller units. Finding a compromise between these two things is not always an easy task however, most reviewers seemed to be satisfied with the Honeywell HFD-120-Q’s capabilities to meet those needs.

The washable and permanent pre-filter is a huge hit for reviewers who have been frustrated with having to purchase replacement filters for air purifiers in the past. One reviewer in particular stated that the Honeywell HFD-120-Q has already paid for itself just by eliminating the need to purchase 70 dollar replacement filters that their old unit required.

Of the cons, one of the trends that were noticed were several reviewers stating the unit stopped oscillating after a period of a few months of ownership. This could potentially be isolated instances of faulty units as many reviewers conversely stated their units performed optimally for many months but it was still a trend to be noticed.
